nano-done-o :::

Monday, December 1st, 2008

It’s just after midnight and NaNoWriMo 2008 is over! It’s been a hell of a month and a brilliant experience, and I’m very proud of my achievement. I wrote a total of 33685 words, and tonight I managed to complete my story, paraphrasing the ending a little but plotting out how all the [...]

20K to go zzzzzz :::

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

After really applying myself tonight I’m now only 20,000 words off my 50,000 word target for NaNoWriMo. I’m not giving up, by any means, but I think it’s pretty safe to say I won’t be a NaNo winner this year. I’m definitely going to try and get there tomorrow (I’m far too sleepy [...]

- Marigold tea and counterculture at [...]

guardian scan, poorly-ness and internet telly :::

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Bleurgh. I am sick. It’s not the horrible fluey cold thing that travels from person to person every winter, but some weird tummy bug that’s left me all weak and pathetic and seemingly unable to leave my bed. I’m way behind on all the things I wanted to get done over the [...]

why aren’t you signed? :::

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

Last night I played at The Marlborough again, another short and bitter sweet acoustic set performed this time to a less friendly room. It’s hard when you’re faced with an audience populated solely by boys from the other bands - they didn’t come out to listen to music, they came to play music. [...]
