So I made a lovely new blog and suddenly went all quiet. Typical!
Things here at SMW HQ are all good, there’s a lot of ‘walkies’ and ‘fetch’ and ‘down’ going on but music making is also getting back up to speed. The chorus of the tune I’m currently writing is on repeat in my head constantly, which I presume is a good thing.
This morning I’ve been listening to an advance copy of Martina Topley Bird’s new album ‘The Blue God’, which is something quite special. That woman’s voice sends shivers down my spine and there are a load of weird and wonderful noises going on in the songs too. I want to close the curtains, light some candles and drink some wine while listening to it. It’s only lunchtime though and I have my own music to make.
